Did you know that in Ohio a camp well-water supply system is considered a “public water system”? Camp water wells are regulated by the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and are classified as a “Transient Non-Community System” or TNC. These systems are required to be licensed annually and must comply with state laws. Camp water supply systems must be tested and meet the water quality standards, but camps are not required to participate in the state reporting program.
