Event Support (PT)
Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our organization as an Event Support team member. This part-time position plays a vital role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for guests at the High Adventure Base. This role involves setting up and providing logistical support for various events, such as meetings, retreats, and meals. The Event Support employee works collaboratively with the Event Specialist but also demonstrates the ability to independently set up venues based on instructions.
The Event Support position reports to the Director of Summit Operations.
Responsibilities
- Provides hospitality services for special events including but not limited to meetings, retreats, meals of all types, weddings, etc.
- Performs tasks such as setting up furniture, decorations, and catering supplies.
- Interacts positively with guests and staff of all ages and backgrounds, resolving any issues that may arise, and ensuring a welcoming environment.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Education
While no specific education level is required, a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field, including food and beverage services.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Must pass a criminal history background check.
- Must pass the physical exam and be approved for SBR height and weight requirements.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills and working Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) are required.
Preferences:
- Experience in food and beverage services.
- Be or become a registered member of Scouting America.
