Position Overview

The Machine Operator is responsible for the setup, calibration, and operation of machine equipment. Works from verbal or written instructions, diagrams, or models. Inspects machining operations and finished products against specifications using precision measuring tools. Determines and corrects minor machine malfunctions. Performs routine maintenance and cleaning. May include packing, wrapping, securing, labeling, and shipping.

Responsibilities
  • Operates embroidery machines and Direct to Garment machine.
  • Operates small machines such as merrowing, laminating and clicking.
  • Performs light maintenance on small machines in a Manufacturing environment.
  • Inspects completed products and materials to assure quality standards are met.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

 

Education
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Qualifications
  • 1+ years of experience running small machinery in a manufacturing environment.
  • Previous experience performing routine maintenance and/or simple repairs to small machinery in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
  • Close visual acuity to inspect products, materials and machinery for accuracy, quality, and defects.
  • Finger dexterity to manipulate small objects and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail.
