Senior District Executive
Position Overview
To give leadership to the achievement of the council’s mission, and strategy to its annual objectives and goals. To bring a special skill or experience level to the council in the areas of District Operations, Membership and District fundraising.

Responsibilities
Has responsibilities related to membership, finance, (District) and program.
Specifically responsible for: effective operations, an adequate functioning commissioner staff, membership growth, chartered partner relationships, Friend of Scouting enrollment within district operations.
Has other responsibilities that will result in an increasing number of youth participating in a quality Scouting program.
Reports directly to the District Director.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
Qualifications
Essential Functions:
- Recruits, develops, and maintains effective volunteers management team.
- Maintains a professional working climate that attracts, keeps, and motivates top-quality volunteers.
- Assures the district has a long-range strategy that achieves its mission and makes consistent progress.
- Serves as the chief district spokesman for the council to assure that the council is properly represented.
- Assures the flow of funds from the district; helps the council to achieve its mission.
- Advises the council commissioner staff to ensure quality programs, roundtables, and re-registration of units.
- Supervises budget control in assigned areas.
- Advises the council membership/relationship committees to achieve balanced growth.
Specific Functions:
- Responsible for recruitment of youth and retention, rechartering new units and the annual membership drive.
- Fundraising responsibilities include District FOS Campaign & Popcorn Campaign
- Responsible for the following District Programs; Fall Kick off, Annual Recruitment Drive, Scouts BSA Spring & Fall Camporees, Cub Scout Spring Cuboree & Fall Festival, Fishing Derby, Klondike Derby & Pinewood Derby Championship.
