Kyla Mahoney

Northeast Region Venturing President

Serving as the 2008-2009 Northeast Region Venturing President is Kyla Mahoney of Nashua Valley Council. Venturing's purpose is to provide positive experiences to help youth mature and prepare them to become responsible adults. For Kyla, the Venturing program has done just that! The positive influence of this program has given her the courage, strength, and confidence necessary to achieve even her greatest future achievements. Ever since Kyla was four-years-old, she has wanted to be a Boy Scout like her older brother, Travis. Kyla finally got her chance to participate in high adventure activities when she heard about Venturing. She has been a member of Littleton Venturing Crew 486 since it was established in July of 2004. Kyla was the Vice President of Programs from October of 2004 to October of 2005. During the election in 2005, she was elected as crew president and withheld this position until elections in April, 2008. Kyla also supported the establishment of her Council's VOA. After her successful terms as president, she decided to share her positive experiences, but most importantly, learn from others. Venturing has been a positive life changing experience for her and she is honored to have been chosen to undergo a challenging and rewarding position.
