Job Description of National Venturing President

  1. Serves on the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of America.
  2. Serves as a "representative of youth" to the national Venturing Committee and national Program Committee. Attempts to express the needs, ideas, and concerns of all Venturers to these committees.
  3. Is responsible to the national Venturing Committee chairman, and works in close cooperation with the national director of Venturing and the national staff advisor.
  4. Participates in international, national, regional, area, and local activities upon invitation.
  5. Works with four regional Venturing presidents and National Boatswain to promote and support Venturing.
  6. Agrees to wear the Venturing uniform or identity items as suggested by the director of Venturing or national staff advisor.
  7. Must be a full time student while serving term as National Venturing President.

Must attend the national Venturing cabinet orientation set for July 10 – 13, 2008.
